Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage (BLDM) is a powerful treatment gaining popularity around the world for its detoxing and sculpting effects!

Designed to stimulate your body’s natural detoxification system using gentle but effective rhythmic techniques, it supports the removal of excess fluid and toxins, improves circulation, and helps your digestive system work more efficiently.

Unlike traditional massage, Brazilian lymphatic drainage also incorporates sculpting techniques - particularly effective around the stomach and waist - helping to reduce bloating, ease discomfort, and leave you feeling lighter, more defined, and energised! It is different from traditional Lymphatic Drainage Massage due to its sweeping rhythmic strokes.

This treatment is ideal if you’re experiencing bloating, sluggish digestion, or fluid retention, or simply want to reset and recharge. It’s also a supportive choice after travel, postnatally (once you are cleared by your GP), or during times when your body feels heavy and out of balance.

What are the benefits of BLDM

  • Stimulates lymphatic flow for natural detoxification

  • Reduces fluid retention and swelling

  • Supports digestive health and reduces bloating

  • Helps achieve a more sculpted stomach

  • Eases feelings of heaviness and fatigue

  • Supports immune function

  • Boosts circulation

  • Promotes fascia release for healthier tissue and skin

What to expect during a treatment

Each treatment begins by gently opening up lymphatic channels throughout the body, followed by gentle, rhythmic massage techniques designed to stimulate lymph flow and encourage the release of excess fluid and toxins. Movements are precise yet relaxing (if you are after a deep tissue treatment, this probably isn't the massage for you).

Special attention is given to the abdominal area to ease bloating, support digestion, and promote a flatter stomach.

In the 90-minute session, facial cupping and Gua Sha sculpting are included to lift and contour the face while enhancing lymphatic drainage. You’ll leave feeling lighter, refreshed, and more balanced, with both immediate results and cumulative benefits over time.

FAQs

Will I feel/see results straight away?
Many people notice an immediate difference after their first treatment, especially around the stomach, waist and face. You’ll hopefully feel lighter, less bloated, and more energised. Results build with regular sessions.

Is the treatment painful?
Not at all. The techniques are gentle, rhythmic and soothing. Many clients find it deeply relaxing and often drift into a meditative state during the session.

How many treatments will I need?
That depends on your goals. For ongoing bloating, post-travel reset, or postnatal recovery, a course of 3–4 weekly sessions is recommended, followed by monthly maintenance. Some clients also book one-off sessions before events or holidays.

Is it safe after pregnancy?
Yes - Brazilian lymphatic drainage is very supportive postnatally, especially for bloating, fluid retention and abdominal healing. Please wait until you are cleared by your GP before booking.

What should I wear?
You’ll be asked to remove all clothing except pants (if you are comfortable with this) you will remain comfortably covered with towels throughout the treatment. Best to wear underwear that you don't mind getting oil on.

Are there any conditions you can’t treat?
Yes, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage is not suitable if you have:

  • Lymphoedema (sadly I’m not insured or qualified to work on medical lymphatic conditions, it’s important that anyone with lymphoedema receives care from an appropriate specialist)

  • Fever, infection, or contagious illness

  • Heart conditions (e.g. heart failure, severe uncontrolled hypertension)

  • History of stroke, thrombosis, or blood clots (including DVT)

  • Severe kidney or liver disease

  • Active cancer or during cancer treatment (unless cleared by your GP/oncologist)

  • Recent surgery, injury, or fractures (unless cleared by your GP/surgeon)

  • Severe varicose veins (inflamed or painful)

  • Pregnancy in the first trimester (safe after GP clearance from 2nd trimester or postnatally)

⚠️ If you’re unsure whether this treatment is right for you, please consult your GP before booking.
